ELLE: Ewa, your career is truly inspiring. Could you tell us how it all started?
Ewa Haas-Stark: Thank you! My journey started in the modeling industry, but not in the conventional way. I wasn’t one of those young girls who began their careers at 18. In fact, I embraced modeling later in life, proving that beauty and confidence are timeless. Initially, I worked in different fields, but fashion has always been my passion. When I got my first modeling opportunity, I realized that there was a huge gap in the industry for women over 50. That’s when I decided to become a part of this change.
ELLE: The fashion industry often favors youth. Was it challenging for you to break into modeling as a Best Ager model?

Ewa Haas-Stark: Absolutely! When I started, there were very few models in my age group being featured in mainstream campaigns. The industry is evolving, but back then, there was a strong stereotype that beauty had an expiration date. I wanted to challenge that idea. It wasn’t easy—there were moments of rejection, but I was determined to show that confidence and elegance have no age limit. Fortunately, things have changed, and we are seeing more representation of mature women in fashion, which is wonderful.
ELLE: In addition to modeling, you are the CEO and Publisher of EWA'S PLACE. What inspired you to start this magazine?
Ewa Haas-Stark: I wanted to create a space where women over 50 feel seen, heard, and celebrated. When I looked around, I noticed that many fashion and lifestyle magazines were focused on younger audiences, often ignoring the sophisticated, modern woman who still loves fashion, travel, wellness, and personal growth. That’s how EWA'S PLACE was born. It’s more than a magazine—it’s a movement. We highlight fashion, beauty, career opportunities, health, and inspiring stories of women who redefine aging. Today, we reach over 1.5 million readers worldwide, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
ELLE: How do you balance your roles as a model, entrepreneur, and publisher?
Ewa Haas-Stark: It’s all about passion, discipline, and surrounding yourself with the right people. I love what I do, so even on busy days, it never feels like a burden. Of course, time management is key. I have an amazing team at EWA'S PLACE, and together, we bring inspiring content to women globally. It’s all about teamwork and a shared vision.
ELLE: You have a strong presence on social media, with over 129,000 Instagram followers. How do you use this platform to connect with your audience?

Ewa Haas-Stark: Social media is a powerful tool to inspire and empower. I use Instagram not just to showcase fashion but to connect with my followers on a deeper level. I share personal stories, career insights, and messages of self-love. Women tell me that my journey has inspired them to chase their dreams, start new careers, or embrace their beauty with pride. That’s the greatest reward.
ELLE: What challenges did you face while building your magazine and brand?
Ewa Haas-Stark: Starting a new venture always comes with challenges. In the beginning, people were skeptical—could a magazine dedicated to women over 50 really succeed? But I believed in my vision. Funding, building the right team, and gaining industry recognition were some of the initial struggles. However, persistence and passion always pay off. Today, EWA'S PLACE is a recognized platform, and I’m grateful for every challenge because it made me stronger.
ELLE: Many women admire your confidence and style. What advice would you give to women who want to feel more empowered?

Ewa Haas-Stark:
1. Confidence comes from within – The way you see yourself is how the world will see you.
2. Never stop learning – Age should never stop you from growing, whether it’s in fashion, business, or personal goals.
3. Surround yourself with positivity – Be around people who uplift and inspire you.
4. Take care of yourself – Beauty is about health, happiness, and self-care.
5. Dream big! – It’s never too late to start something new, whether it’s a career, a business, or a passion project.
ELLE: The concept of aging is evolving. How do you see the future for women in fashion and media?
Ewa Haas-Stark: We are moving towards a more inclusive industry, which is fantastic. Women over 50 are gaining more representation in campaigns, films, and media. But there’s still work to be done. My goal is to continue pushing for change—I want to see more mature women on magazine covers, in fashion ads, and leading global businesses. Aging is a privilege, and it should be celebrated, not hidden.
ELLE: What’s next for you and EWA'S PLACE?
Ewa Haas-Stark: We have some exciting projects coming up! I want to expand EWA'S PLACE into more digital formats, host live events, and collaborate with brands that share our vision of empowering women. Personally, I want to continue modeling, inspiring, and proving that age is just a number. There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to share it with the world!

Ewa Haas-Stark: Success is not just about money or status. It’s about living authentically, doing what you love, and inspiring others along the way. If I can help women feel more confident and empowered, that’s the greatest success for me.
